People Are Good
Let’s just start this off with the obvious...it’s been a crazy (often shitty) kind of couple of years. The Covid-19 Pandemic brought so much out of us as a culture...some amazing moments, and some unfortunate reminders that we are not all operating as a community.
Bounty Hunting in Texas
This writing is to add my name, and my law firm, Vivere Law, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the long list of attorneys, judges, and citizens in opposition to Texas Senate Bill 8 and House Bill 1515.
Mental Health and Flip Flops
“Lawyers are in the trauma business. Rarely do clients come to see you with happy news. As lawyers, we need to acknowledge the trauma so that clients feel seen, heard, and understood.” -Jeena Cho
The War on Drugs & Oregon Measure 110
“This is your brain. This is drugs. This is your brain on drugs. Any questions?” (Now, was anyone over the age of 40 able to read that and NOT hear the egg frying?!) Storming the Capitol, Joe Rogan, and Mr. Rodgers.

3 Reasons You Need a Will
August is national "Make a Will" month. (Personally, I think November would be better...perhaps the onset of a long winter might be more conducive to a mindset recognizing mortality...but no one consulted me on the choice-of-month question.)
The Lemonade Stand
A lemonade stand is good fun. An enterprising young entrepreneur can realize that warm weather and thirst create a need they can fill, resulting in some piggy-bank deposits at the end of the day. The business model usually begins at 9am, is fully functioning by 10am, and profitable by noon.
Contract Keys
Contracts are a part of adult life, and the digital age has made them even more common than ever before. We have become so comfortable signing contracts that half of the time we do not even take the time to read them. Think I'm crazy?
Billable Hours Don’t Work
The "billable hour" is one of the most frustrating aspects of the legal profession...for the clients and lawyers alike...so we don't use it.
The Custody Conundrum
The relationship is over, emotions are high, people are angry, and children are involved...NOW WHAT?!?
